Not every great idea makes it to launch. Some of the most interesting design work happens in the pitch — fast concepts, bold ideas, and presentations built to win rooms. Here's a selection of that work.
IBM had a partnership with the PGA and Watson to deliver data-driven insights to fans watching The Masters. This screen was our pitch concept — a desktop experience surfacing real-time player tracking, hole-by-hole data, and Watson-powered analysis. The challenge was making data feel like part of the broadcast experience, not a distraction from it.
A pitch to the Boston Bruins and TD Garden built in Prezi. This video served as the opening — an immersive, data-driven look at what IBM iX could bring to the fan experience. The goal was to win the room before the deck even started. The presentation showcased IBM's capabilities across experiential design, data visualization, and connected venue technology.
Note: This video includes music used with permission from its creator and footage created by other IBMers to showcase our collective work.
A concept screen developed for a pitch to a major financial institution. The goal was to reimagine the digital banking experience — moving beyond transactional UI toward something that felt personal, trustworthy, and forward-looking. Designed to show what's possible, not just what's safe.
